What is an Inverter AC and Why Should you go for it

On hearing the term Inverter AC, most of us assume for it to be an air conditioner that runs on inverter. But contrary to popular assumption, an Inverter AC is basically a more efficient and effective version of an air conditioner.

So what does ‘inverter’ stand for?

Before we jump to that, let’s first understand how an air conditioner works.

An air conditioner takes in the internal air, cools it via the evaporator and throws cools air back in the room. But what about the compressor? Well, it compresses the gas, also known as refrigerant, in the AC and further cool\s the incoming internal air present in the room.

In regular air conditioners, this compressor is not always at work. It keeps on turning on and off, leading to greater energy consumption in turning it on again and again. When the thermostat reaches the specified temperature level, the compressor turns off and the fan continues to throw air.

Now coming to the wise inverter AC.  Its compressor does not turn on and off regularly. It is always on, but it will draw only as much power as required to maintain the desired temperature in the room. Hence, it is wise enough to consume only as much power as it needs to stabilise the demands of the room, based on size, temperature requirement, etc.

So why should one opt for an inverter ac over a regular ac?

While you may choose to own a 1.5 ton split ac inverter or a 2 ton inverter ac, but if it is an inverter AC, it will save your energy and result in lower power bills than before.

Apart from being energy-saving, an inverter ac is also quieter. As it is always on, it makes much less noise when it is operating at its maximum capacity, as compared to a regular air conditioner that makes much noise at every start.

It is more durable too as the chances of sharp fluctuations are reduced, which in turn extends the life of various parts.

Thus, an inverter air conditioner is highly effective, peaceful for ears, and faces lesser breakdowns than a regular air conditioner.

Can one use a 1.5 ton split ac inverter in every room rather than a 2 ton inverter ac, specially because the inverter ac is efficient?

While an inverter ac is more efficient than a regular ac, it is still dependent on the room size. So one needs to take care of room measurements before installing either a 1.5 ton split ac inverter or a 2 ton inverter ac.

While many brands have inverter ACs now, only few brands have ACs that surpass all expectations. We would highly recommend Panasonic Air Conditioners as they have mastered the inverter ac technology along with many unique features. Make a list of your air conditioner needs and then look for an air conditioner that best meets them. While there are a variety of reviews in the market to help you, it is important to focus on what exactly serves you in the best possible way than being carried away by jargons.

Now that you know the importance of an inverter air conditioner, enjoy your shopping experience and get ready for the summer season in full swing!
