Steps for doing facial clean up at home

The changing weather may turn hard for your skin! For getting that beautiful, smooth, and glowing skin all you need is an amazing ME time that is a good old facial with your facial steamer. Laid down are a few steps that help you get that glowing skin at the comfort of your home.

Follow these steps once in every 45 days and what better than getting your girlfriends together for a day of pampering? Check out the steps below:

1.      Remove make-up

The first step to achieving a clean skin is removing all the make-up of your skin. Use gentle facial wipes to take the stubborn makeup from your face. Only a clean and makeup-free face is free of clogged pores and ready to be cleansed.
Pro tip: While using a facial wipe, remove your eye make-up the last thing. Be gentle and make sure you do not drag the wipe over your eyelids to prevent sagging.

2.      Cleanse

Using a mild cleanser, by gently massaging your fingers all over the face. Use a gel-based cleanser if you have acne-prone or oily skin. Make sure you don’t overdo it preventing excessive dryness from your skin.

3.      Steam

Steaming is the best gift you can give to your skin, it’s like a spa but for your skin! After all the exfoliating and massaging, the next step it to steam your face. Steaming helps open up the pores making skin absorbent for the products. The heat followed by the steam is also good for the skin to make it relaxed and moist. With the help of a
facial steamer you can easily steam your skin or to do it at the comfort of your homes by boiling the water in a pot and take it off the stove. Just lean into the facial steamer and steam you face for 5 – 10 minutes. Using a towel, cover your head to ensure the heat gets trapped.
Pro tip: For better results, add essential oils like lavender, rose or even tea tree oil to the steamer, add water and get ready for that salon-like experience.

4.      Exfoliate

The next step is to exfoliate your skin. With the help of mild exfoliation, you can easily remove dead skin cells off your skin in order to polish the skin making it look brighter. The right way to do this is to take a pea-sized amount of your face scrub and gently in circular motions. After you’re done, splash off with lukewarm water.

Pro tip: While scrubbing, focus on your nose and chin areas to get all the impurities and blackheads out from the skin.

5.      Apply clay mask

After you’ve steamed and exfoliated your skin, your skin would need something nourishing and moisturizing. Face masks are the best to get the impurities out making your skin radiant and fresh. So, grab your favorite face pack and enjoy some relaxed time while your skin is at it.

6.      Moisturize

Put an end to your skincare routine by deeply moisturizing your skin. All the cleaning and the heat from the
facial steamer would make the skin dry and hence the process needs to be ending with moisturizing your skin. This step hydrates the skin and retains in all the lost moisture.
Before you moisturize your skin, make sure your hands are absolutely clean and you use a lightweight moisturizer for your skin. Finish it off by applying an under eye cream.

Having a clean, glowing skin is every girl’s dream and it is easily achievable. With the emergence of the DIY culture, having a facial at the comfort of your homes is no more a dream. If you’re looking to invest in some at home salon equipment’s, Panasonic has some great options like a
